Who Am I

Hi there, I’m Angela Dyer, a financial coach on a mission to empower women with the knowledge and skills they need to take control of their finances and create a better future for themselves and their families.

I know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in poverty and face financial instability. My mother was a single parent on welfare, and we moved 16 times in 16 years, so my home life was incredibly unstable. We were very poor, and my mom’s disabilities kept her from being able to work. At age 16 things got even worse as a fire destroyed our apartment and my mother decided to move to a neighboring city while I moved out on my own. It was my first period of transformation as I knew my future was in my hands. I stayed because I didn’t want to leave my friends, so I learned to budget my own money while paying rent, buying food and fixing my clunker cars. Despite all of this, I loved going to school, where I could learn, make friends, and get a good meal. It was the one constant in my life.

As I grew up, I became obsessed with learning financial knowledge, watching Suzie Orman on late night TV. I went on to earn a bachelors degree in psychology and masters degree in business which eventually led me to my career in banking. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work with some incredibly wealthy clients. I learned from them and put their strategies into practice for myself, and eventually, I started teaching others what I learned.

Now I’m on a mission to help women achieve financial empowerment. I believe that financial knowledge is the key to creating a better future for yourself and your family. When you have control over your finances, you have options. And those options are not just for you - they are for your children, your grandchildren, and the generations to come.
